When Deepak Dhar, started his journey in the broadcasting industry in 1996, little did he know that he would be one of the pioneers in introducing differentiated content to the Indian television industry! Throughout his career Deepak has played a pivotal role in successfully introducing new concepts and innovative programming, previously unseen on the television screen. A path breaker right from the beginning of his career, Deepak has contributed greatly in changing the landscape of Indian television industry and ruled the world of TRP’s with some of the most talked about shows in Indian Television History like ‘Bigg Boss’& ‘KhatronKeKhiladi’.
From a humble beginning as a Production Assistant to donning the role of Managing Director at Endemol India, Deepak has climbed the corporate ladder with his dedication, determination and his ability to understand the logistics of the business of entertainment.
He Joined Endemol India as Creative Director in 2006. & in 2008, Deepak took over the realms of Endemol India as the Managing Director. Under his guidance and with his creative acumen ‘Bigg Boss’ & ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, the flag ship shows from Endemol have gone from strength to strength. Endemol India, during Deepak’s tenure, has won 23 awards, produced about 40 shows a year, totaling to over 1500 hours of programing.
In the past few years, Deepak has been instrumental in Endemol India transforming itself from being just a non-scripted content company to a company serving content across screens, languages and genres in like TV, Films, and Digital.
Under his leadership, Endemol India has successfully explored the regional markets in India by introducing Bigg Boss in Kannada and Bangla. The company today has effective operations in 7 regional languages. Apart from reality shows, Endemol India has also made a mark in television fiction having produced popular fiction shows like ‘Geet’, “Miley Jab Hum tum’ and ‘Sabki Ladli Bebo’. In another initiative taken by Dhar, the company also produces approximately 300 hours of niche programming for the youth segment with shows like Emotional Atyachaar on UTV bindass, Heroes & Dare 2 Date on Channel V and Life Mein Ek Baar.

Abhishek Rege is the Chief Operating Officer of Endemol Shine India. Abhishek leads Endemol Shine India’s 35m (200 crore INR) television business, business strategy and operations of film business in India.
An accomplished professional in the media industry Abhishek Rege has been pivotal in driving growth at Endemol Shine India. He has a proven success record and is accomplished in leveraging comprehensive markets and industry knowledge to ensure high momentum business growth, build a high performance team and forecast future business needs.
Prior to Endemol Shine,Abhishek was a Director of Business Operations for Viacom 18 Media Pvt. Ltd, New Jersey, USA. In this role Abhishek directed all business operations for the Americas (United States, Canada, Caribbean, and South America) including regional advertising business development and station marketing for Apaka Colors and MTV India. As Director of Business Operations, Abhishek boosted revenues by nearly 50% in less than one year, created brand awareness and grew subscriptions by spearheading strategic, multilingual and local marketing campaigns. He also expanded market reach and footprint by initiating distribution in Caribbean region and established MTV India distribution in United States and Canada by negotiating deals with various platforms and operators.
He is an empowering leader skilled in attracting and retaining industry talent, building positive employee relationships and tailoring management style to accommodate diverse personalities, skill sets and experience levels. Abhishek started his career at Star India where he played a key role in scheduling and acquisition of content for premium and exclusive channels for theTata Sky DTH service in addition to handling key commercial and compliance roles for the STAR group of channels.
Ketan Gurav heads the Finance department of Endemol Shine India. He maintains the Financial parameters of Endemol Shine India’s 35m (200 crore INR) television business, business strategy and operations of film business in India.
Ketan has an enriched experience of about 15 years in heading Media Finance businesses. At Endemol Shine India, he has ensured that the P&L and profits are registered, thereby making sure that year on year, the company shows an increase in revenue by meeting it’s financial targets. He has ensured that the Company’s success record is accomplished by an uphill in growth of the business. Along with heading the Finance division, Ketan has also been proficiently handling the HR, Admin & IT divisions for Endemol Shine India.
Ketan was a part of Media Network Distribution (India) Limited as Associate Vice President of Finance, prior to joining Endemol Shine India. He handled entire Finance & Accounts for the TV Distribution Business. He was key implementer in setting up the Finance Department & Banking Facilities for the organization.
Prior to joining Media Network Distribution, Ketan was associated with Reliance Broadcast Network Limited at the capacity of General Manager – Corporate Finance. He has also been associated with esteemed organizations like Bennett Coleman & Co Ltd for it Broad casting Business – Zoom TV & Hathway Cable & Datacom Limited.
With his friendly and enthusiastic approach towards his work and colleagues, Ketan is known to efficiently manage a Company to sail through its toughest times during periods of downfall. Ketan now manages and controls the financials of lucrative business of Endemol Shine India.
Ketan has a Chartered Accountancy Degree and is a graduate of the Mumbai University.
